BUTTING – Pipes used as pump sleeves, shell bodies and rollers

Pump sleeves, shell bodies and rollers are impressive examples of the close cooperation between BUTTING and its customers when it comes to the development of new products and production processes in order to optimize the chain of added value.

A high quality BUTTING pipe is turned into a big variety of components ready for use. The necessary prerequisites are guaranteed by a continuous production of pipes according to very tight tolerances, an advantage BUTTING has over other pipe producers. Furthermore, the production processes used provide consider- able cost savings, e. g. a tolerance of true running of less than 1 mm over a length of 3 000 mm which can be guaranteed, will reduce  the further pro- cessing considerably.

Stringent requirements by our customers with regard to roundness, true running and straightness, surface conditions and shapes are being dealt with by our production centre with special tools and machines. In case of rollers it is possible to furnish these with a straightness tolerance of 0.5 mm over a length of 2 000 mm, which is even less than what is laid down in the ISO 5252. The BUTTING pipe is suiTables for any kind of further fabrication in  order to improve the chain of added value.
